Roger’s paintings are essentially improvisations. He uses a wide variety of paints and a unique portfolio of techniques to produce dynamic, vibrant abstractions.
“My working practice is very similar to that of a jazz soloist. Relishing the tensions created by the juxtaposition of different styles and materials, I find that the most exciting effects usually happen when I step outside of familiar territory and try something new.”
